BIOGRAPHY

Merle Marlow Band Official Photo

Formed around singer and songwriter Merle Marlow (Emmanuel HUE, candidate of the 2024 Quebec edition of The Voice, "La Voix"), the Merle Marlow Band consists of musicians with diverse influences and experiences, united by a passion for new-country music.

Lead singer Merle Marlow's voice is often compared to a blend of Kenny Chesney and Luke Bryan, representing the band's main influences, ranging from 90s country to contemporary new-country, with touches of classic rock.

These influences are also reflected in their original songs, several of which have been played on Canadian and European radio stations, notably the single "Western Sky," which was regularly broadcast on Sirius XM CBC Country in the summer of 2021.

The year 2024 was marked by the release of their first album "Big Dreams & Gasoline," notable appearances at Ottawa BluesFest (opening for Josh Ross), Théâtre du Capitole (opening for Tim & The Glory Boys), and Festival Country Lotbinière, as well as an acoustic performance at the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.

Merle Marlow Band also shines in Europe, particularly in France, where Merle Marlow/Emmanuel HUE had the honor of performing the Canadian national anthem in France's largest hockey arena, for the winning team of the 2025 Ligue Magnus, the Brûleurs de Loup de Grenoble.
