Formed around the singer and songwriter Merle Marlow (Emmanuel HUE, contestant on the 2024 Québec edition of The Voice, “La Voix”), the Merle Marlow Band consists of musicians with diverse influences and experiences, brought together by a passion for new-country music.
The voice of the lead singer, Merle Marlow, is often compared to a blend of Kenny Chesney and Luke Bryan, representing the band’s main influences, ranging from 90’s country to contemporary new-country.
These influences are also reflected in their original songs, several of which have been aired on Canadian and European radio stations, including the single « Western Sky, » which received regular rotation on Sirius XM CBC Country in the summer of 2021.
The Merle Marlow Band has also been a festivals and rodeos fan-favorite in their home province of Québec and in Ontario, with notable performances at the Festival Western of St-Tite and Festival Country Lotbinière in the last two years, and also at the Ottawa BluesFest.
The Merle Marlow Band has released their first album “Big Dreams & Gasoline” in May, and is currently touring in Québec and Ontario this summer, with notable shows in support of Tim & The Glory Boys and Josh Ross.
